Ellembelle: Fire razes Vision Beach, Maaha Beach Resort partially damaged A devastating fire has completely razed Vision Beach in the Ellembelle District of the Western region, while eight rooms at the nearby Maaha Beach Resort have also been affected. The fire reportedly broke out on the evening of Wednesday, May 28, 2025. The exact cause of the blaze remains unknown during the time of writing this article. A source within the Ghana National Fire Service confirmed to Connect FM’s Nhyiraba Paa Kwesi Simpson that swift intervention by fire personnel prevented the fire from spreading further within the Maaha Beach Resort. “The entire Vision Beach has been completely destroyed—everything was reduced to ashes. That’s where the fire started before it spread to Maaha. Thanks to the timely response from the fire service, they managed to contain it, though eight rooms at Maaha were still affected. Vision Beach was constructed primarily from wood, which may explain the extent of the damage,” the source indicated. Efforts to reach the management of both facilities for clarification have so far been unsuccessful.
