Ntim Fordjour thanks Bawumia for visit following NIB’s attempted arrest

Reverend John Ntim Fordjour, Member of Parliament for Assin South and Ranking Member on Parliament’s Defence and Interior Committee, has thanked former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for visiting his home after a politically motivated incident.
On April 9, operatives from the National Investigations Bureau attempted to besiege his residence, but their efforts were thwarted by NPP members.
Fordjour claims this incident is part of a larger attempt by the NDC government to suppress MPs from carrying out their oversight duties. As a prominent figure in Ghanaian politics, Fordjour has held various roles, including Deputy Minister of Education and Member of Parliament for Assin South Constituency. He is also a Senior Pastor at Victory Bible Church International.
“Thank you very much HE Dr Mahamudu Bawumia @MBawumia for the visit to my residence this evening following the politically-motivated lawless act of harassment in the attempt of the NDC government to gag MPs from exercising their legitimate oversight,” Fordjour wrote.
