WR: 32 year old elected Council of State member

Dr. Maxwell Boakye, a 32-year-old, has emerged victorious in the Western Region’s Council of State member elect elections. He secured 17 out of 28 votes, beating eight other contenders for the position. Akwasi Nsiah Awuah, also known as Hillcrest, came closest with 10 votes, while Adjei Clement garnered only one vote.. The remaining candidates received zero votes.

Interestingly, Dr. Boakye’s win has come as a surprise, as Nana Nsiah Awuah was initially tipped to win the elections.

As a member of the Council of State, Dr. Boakye will represent the Western Region, contributing to the council’s advisory role to the President .
